Flag Football
Six Pack Sports Flag Football is back! The popular coed football league is making a triumphant return to Garland Park in Denver on Saturday afternoons. We play 5 on 5 with a minimum of two males and two females on the field at all times (plus as many bench players as you wish). The offense has a set of downs to achieve the midfield line and then another set to achieve the endzone (the fields have ideally-marked side, midfield & endzone lines to facilitate rulings). Games feature two 30-min halves and a 10-min halftime. And, as always with Six Pack Sports, game highlights are posted each week so you can look back and reminisce on the fun! For a glimpse of the good times, check out last year's Season Highlight Video! Plus, we have an end-of-season award ceremony party, per usual, which is included in your league fee.
On top of all of that, each football player will receive a special discount card to the 6PS sponsor bar, Stoney's Bar & Grill, where we'll head every Sat afternoon at 4pm after flag football to party with teammates and opponents alike, while enjoying spectacular discounts!

Pentath-a-LAWN
The Six Pack Sports Pentath-a-LAWN is a spectacular one-day leisure olympiad held each fall. Requiring less running and sweating than traditional olympiads, the Pentath-a-LAWN will focus on the appreciation for lazy sports in an afternoon of fun, leisure and camaraderie. Coed teams of four will compete in five classic lawn events: badminton, croquet, bocce, bags & horseshoes. All participants must be at least 21 years of age and show proper ID at check-in as kegs are always on hand to oversee the operation. Light prizes are awarded to the crowned Champions of Leisure as well as to the team with the most spectacular team uniforms, as all teams are strongly encouraged to participate in uniform. The olympiad takes place at Denver's famed Wash Park, starting at 11am on Saturday, Oct 30th. Remember Six Packers: you can't party all day if you don't start in the morning! And as is 6PS tradition, the event is captured on film and highlights are arranged for your enjoyment & reminiscence. Check out last year's Pentath-a-LAWN Highlight Video! This year is sure to be another fantastic event and an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and to make new memories with your old friends!

Broomball

Ever had the urge to run around on ice, chasing a ball and knowing that there’s a decent chance that at any unexpected moment your feet could fly out from under you and you could come crashing to the ground?? Unbelievable as it may sound, this activity is incredibly fun and wildly popular! The spectacular sport of broomball highlights an amazing blend of balance, agility, courage, enthusiasm and camaraderie, some of which qualities you may not know you possess. Essentially playing hockey without skates, teams battle it out on the ice for broomball supremacy. Six Pack Sports has a great deal of pride in its broomball league, which is played at the Ice Rink at One Boulder Plaza in Boulder, CO. One Boulder Plaza provides the ideal setting for broomball with a gorgeous outdoor rink right in downtown Boulder that is perfectly lit and perfectly sized for the sport. Though indoor broomball can certainly be fun, we strongly prefer the outdoor variety, which offers fresh air, a pond hockey feel and the chance to play in the snow!
Six Pack Broomball is coed, five a side on the ice (including goalie) with rotations on the fly (unlimited roster size). A ref officiates each game (many hockey rules apply, but there is no contact permitted). To get a taste of the fun of Six Pack Broomball, check out last year’s Season Highlight Video! Last year, we ran two leagues, a "Varsity" league on Mon nights (for those who believe they are relatively adept at the sport) and a "JV" league on Tues nights (for those who are not convinced that they can run on ice!). Get pysched for next year as our broomball league continues to grow and continues to provide endless fun!
Registration will open in November, please check back then!

Kickball Classic

The inaugural Six Pack Sports Kickball Classic was held on Sunday, August 29th at 2:00pm at Wash Park in Denver. This one-day tournament featured coed (and costumed) teams of 10 battling it out for 6PS kickball supremacy. As is 6PS style, we play with alternative rules that we feel are more fun. Just like in Pound & Round softball, there is a cooler of beverages at 1st base... should you get on base safely, you have the option to take a beverage from your 1st base coach... should you score a run with said beverage in hand, your run is worth 2 runs... however, the can must be completely empty... if it is not or if you spill along the way, your score is worth 0 runs! In addition, we play with a pong table set up behind homeplate... each batter has two options for getting on base: kick the ball or shoot at the cups (limit of 3 shooters per half-inning to ensure that the defense stays reasonably alert). Teams are strongly encouraged to participate in team costumes/uniforms. Each team plays 3 games and then we have an awards ceremony at which prizes are awarded to the tournament MVP as well as the team that best exemplifies 6PS partying (this does not necessarily mean the winners... it could be awarded to the best dressed or most fun team). This year, Bart Mulch was awarded the MVP and Booze on First won the team award, congrats to all!
Sounds like an amazing Sunday! What are the details for the next Kickball Classic?

• Date & time TBA, Wash Park, Denver
• Minimum of 10 players per team (no maximum) with at least 5 male & 5 female
• Each team will play 3 games
• Each team will be provided 60 beverages with which to use at 1st base (or at your disposal)
• Cost: $250/team or $25/individual which includes registration fee, paid umps and a whole bunch of beverages!
• Registration deadline: TBA
You can register either as a full team, as an individual looking to join a team or with a couple buddies looking to join a team together. Get psyched for a great day of fun, games & drinks with old and new buddies alike!
Registration for the next Kickball Classic will open up in the Spring. Check back then and get psyched for another fantastic event!
*All participants must be 21 or older; every participant must show proper ID before the event begins.

Softball

6PS Pound & Round Softball is our alternative-style summer softball league! This league takes place on Sunday afternoons at Robinson Park in Denver. It is likely that you've played in adult softball leagues before. It is also likely that you've played wiffleball before with a few beverages and buddies. It is not likely that you've combined the two quite like this. At Six Pack Sports, we play an extraordinary style of softball that makes your playing & socializing experience as fun as possible. Here's a quick breakdown of our unique rules:
We play coed teams, with a minimum of 5 guys & 5 girls a side (there is no maximum number of players). It's a BYOB league, cans only. The combination of softball and wiffleball lies in the fact that we play with many of the standard softball rules (3 outs per inning, 10 fielders, etc) but we play with wiffleball bats & tennis balls! Four of the infielders are permitted gloves, but outfielders are not. Just in case that's not fun enough, we add a Six Pack twist: a cooler of beverages will await you at first base... Should you reach first base safely, you will have the option of grabbing a new beverage from your first base coach. If you score a run with can in hand, the run is worth double, BUT the can must be empty before touching home plate... if it's not, the run does not count at all!
For a glimpse of the ballyhoo, check out the 2010 Pound & Round highlight video and the 2009 Pound & Round highlight video!

Innertube Water Polo
Innertube Water Polo will be played on Monday or Wednesday nights-- season dates and location are TBA (hopefully we'll get a venue soon... stay tuned). Never played innertube water polo before? You are in for a treat! You don't need to be an expert swimmer because you'll be waddling around in innertubes, passing and shooting from your tubes! The concept is similar to that of standard water polo in that you're playing in a pool and need to get a water polo ball into the goal... but that's about where the similarities end. Players are seated in innertubes, butts in the tubes, extremeties dangling out. You cannot leave your tube; should you fall out of your tube, you cannot advance your position, you have to hop back in the tube right where you are. You cannot touch your opponents but you can push their tubes! If an opponent falls out of his/her tube with possession of the ball, the play results in an automatic turnover. Innertube water polo is amazingly fun, goofy & hysterical!
Sounds amazing! What are the particulars?
• Mon or Wed nights, game times: 7, 8 or 9pm, pool and dates TBA
• Minimum of 7 players per team (at least 3 male & 3 female), no maximum
• 7 games & end-of-season banquet party
• Cost: $490/team or $70/person
• You can sign up as a full team, as an individual looking to join a team or as an individual requesting to play with a few friends and join a team together
So get a squad together, a couple buddies or just yourself and get ready for some fantastic action! See you in the pool!
Registration will open once we have the pool/dates lined up, please stay tuned!
